1) @noleftovers

Noleftovers is a consistently superb foodstagram that makes my mouth water daily. They always post high- quality, pictures of food, which allows you to get up close and personal with that oozing egg yolk atop the avocado toast and the freshness of the lox in that crisp everything bagel. They are based in New York City, so most of the pictures are from local restaurants. They also take all of their own pictures, which means no #reposts. @noleftovers is also the perfect place to find the best bowl of Cacio e Pepe in NYC. Give it a try and search yourself!

2) @foodintheair

Beautiful travel shots mixed with insane looking food? What could be better?! Food in the Air is not only an amazing food instagram, but also a food and travel blog as well. According to their blog, “Food in the Air  began a year and a half ago, when four sisters, along with a friend, thought of the simple yet unique idea to hold their food in “air”, having the food as the main focus of the shot while keeping the background relatable.” FITA is consistently posting food that makes you want to literally eat it off the screen. Their pictures come from people all over the world, from Spain to Los Angeles to the British Virgin Islands, you can imagine yourself fulfilling your wildest travel fantasies while just sitting in your bed watching Scandal!

3) @imshtuffed

Imshtuffed is the imshmacked of food instagrams. They have branded themselves as your “College food guide” and based on the pictures they post, I want to visit every single college in the country and try the food they have to offer. Imshtuffed reposts pictures from all over the country and does a really great job of posting a range from sweet to savory. Scrolling down your feed throughout the day, you can be sure to see not only churro ice cream with nutella from Prague, but also an ahi tuna poke burger from USC.

4) @new_fork_city

New Fork City is the reigning foodstagram to beat. With 700k+ followers, no other food instagram has more followers than them and it is easy to see why. New Fork City only posts top quality pictures, filled with color and perfect lighting. Based in NYC, duh, they feature a huge range of foods with pictures taken by people from all over the city. What started out as 3 friends quest to post their own food pictures has turned into an instagram empire filled with loyal fans who even buy their merchandise. To see what food is trending in NYC, look no further.

5) @foodbabyny

Do you love babies? Do you love food? Do you love food and babies and want to see pictures of both of them at the same time?! Well then you’re in luck. Food Baby NY was started by Mike Chau almost 5,000 posts ago and continues to entice followers with pictures of his now toddler son and newborn baby girl! His signature picture includes capturing his kids faces in between the hole of a cronut or having them right out of focus behind some delectable dishes. These kids seem pretty lucky to me because it seems like they eat at incredible places every single day.And don’t be fooled, this dad knows how to take sick food pics. The food is still jaw-droppingly good.

6)@rcorrera

One of my personal favorite food instagram accounts is run by Rachel Correra, a freelance Culinary photographer based in NYC. Correra’s pictures are beyond perfect. The lighting is sublime, the backgrounds are crisp, and the food is perfectly positioned to look as tasty as possible. Correra is also always following the latest food trends, whether it be stopping at a pop-up Luke’s coffee shop (in honor of the Gilmore Girls revival!!!) or visiting the Museum of Ice Cream, she is always ahead of the game. She doesn’t just post from restaurants though. In addition to being an amazing home chef and baker who can make a kick ass s’mores tower or some sweet unicorn bark, Correa does amazing visual things with her food that makes them look like works of art. Her captions aren’t bad either.

7) @HungryBetches

With over 300k followers, Hungry Betches never fails to disappoint. Their pictures are all original and are always taken in the same way: up close, straight on, perfect light, held in the air, but with little background so the main focus is on the food. Hungry Betches puts other self-serve yogurt makers to shame. Their morning bagel? Forget about it. Your BEC cannot compare to their egg, avocado and mozzarella on an everything bagel from Space Market in NYC. Their editing skills are stunning which makes the food look too good to even eat.
