Easy Microwave Banana Bread Oats

Breakfast in a dorm can be difficult to navigate. Oats and yogurt bowls are easy, nourishing options for dorm life, but after a while, they can get old. With a few ingredients, you can make your morning oats taste like fresh banana bread. Follow this quick and easy recipe to start your day off with warm banana bread oats! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup oats
  • ½ tablespoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons water 
  • Pinch of salt

Toppings:

  • Greek yogurt
  • Nut butters
  • Sliced fruit
  • Seeds 
  • Honey or maple syrup 

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mash the banana with a fork. Add the egg and water. Mix until combined.
  2. Mix in the cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in the oats and combine thoroughly
  4. Place in the microwave for 2-3 minutes
  5. Top with Greek yogurt and toppings
