With every holiday there comes the capitalism train, cashing in on our cravings… and here at Baked, we’re okay with that. We say, bring on the once-a-year specials.

 

1. Starbucks: 177 Marshall Street

 

 

Starbucks is feeling the love with their featured Valentine’s Day menu item, the Cherry Mocha. It was inspired by a cherry cordial (a maraschino cherry covered in chocolate). Hot espresso is poured over slightly sweet mocha sauce and candied cherry syrup and topped off with whipped cream, sugar, and cocoa powder. It’s like a liquid box of chocolates.

 

2. Dunkin’ Donuts: 746 S Crouse Avenue

Dunkin’ Donuts has three new flavors for V-day, vanilla truffle, brownie batter crumble, and Cupids choice, in their signature heart shapes. If you’re too shy to ask your Valentine to be yours outright, buy enough for your whole class, and give ’em a wink when they reach for one. They’ll get the message.

 

 

3. The Melting Pot: 9090 Destiny USA Drive

 

 

The Melting Pot’s Valentines Day four-course menu, the rose package, is perfect for a romantic night out on the town. Celebrate this Valentines Day with their melty, sweet, chocolate and salty, gooey, cheese fondue. Book a table now and reserve that special night. Hell, reserve a table for 1 if you want. You’ll have the entire pot of chocolate to yourself.

 

4. Peppino’s Restaurant and Catering: 1849 Grant Blvd

Peppino’s Restaurant and Catering is creating heart-shaped pizzas that anyone can special order at no additional cost. You can also ask them to personalize the pie with a special note made of toppings. It’s not the worst Valentine you could send yourself in the middle of lecture. 

 

5. Maxwells:  122 E Genesee St

 

 

 

Maxwells is catering to all the Happy hour lovers with chocolate covered strawberries and a variety of wine. The happy hour is 4-7 on Valentines Day, so bring your date and feed them one of the sexiest snacks out there, at the bar. This is your once-a-year chance to do this kinda thing in public. 

 

6. Carvel: 4322 E Genesse St, Dewitt

Carvel will satisfy your sweet tooth with their Valentine’s Day themed ice cream cakes. They taste just as good as they look, and you can get them in different flavors and designs, as well as have them write a note in icing. Whether your heart is broken and you need to dig into something, or you want to share with that special someone, Carvel is here for you.
