No-Bake Protein Balls

By Riley Seaver

Growing up, my brother and I were always on the go, running from school, to practice, work, and everywhere in between. My mom was always looking into quick and nutritious recipes that we could easily grab, and started making different variations of protein “balls”. Now, I like to make these when I know I have a busy week, and will want something to snack on in between classes! Like I said, there are many variations of this recipe and a lot of the ingredients are to taste, but this is the recipe my mom uses!

Ingredients

½ cup of quick oats

¼ cup protein powder

2 tbs of peanut (or any nut) butter to taste

Cinnamon to taste

Honey to taste

Directions

  1. Combine your oats and protein powder into a large mixing bowl
  2. Add cinnamon and honey to taste, as much as you like
  3. Add in the nut butter and mix. This is where the mixture should start to come together!
  4. Use a small melon baller or form the dough into 1-inch balls.
  5. Refrigerate in a covered container for 1 hour or until hardened.

I also love to add chocolate chips, coconut or small nuts into my mixture for some extra flavors and crunch. They’re quick to make, and easy to pop in your mouth for a quick breakfast or snack!
