What To Do With All That Leftover Halloween Candy

It’s November 1st and you’ve just awoken from a Halloween-candy induced coma.  The thought of eating another “fun” sized candy bar doesn’t sound so fun anymore and you don’t know what to do with the pile of sugar sitting on your counter. That’s where this recipe enters your life and saves you from all those left over Halloween treats.

Peanut Butter Nutella Candy Bar Brownies

Ingredients:

½ cup unsalted butter

½ cup Nutella

1/3 cup creamy peanut butter

3 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

1/3 cup sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

½ cup all-purpose flour

Nutella Peanut Butter Ganache Topping:

1/3 cup heavy cream

4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

2 tablespoons Nutella

Assorted candy for topping

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉
  2. Grease tart pan
  3. Heat butter, Nutella and peanut butter over low heat until melted and whisk until smooth
  4. Add chocolate and whisk until it melts
  5. Stir in sugar, salt and vanilla extract
  6. Beat eggs in one at a time
  7. Stir in flour until JUST combined
  8. Pour batter into greased pan
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes

Nutella Peanut Butter Ganache Topping

  1. Add chocolate, peanut butter and Nutella to a bowl
  2. Heat cream in saucepan over low heat just until it bubbles
  3. Pour cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth
  4. Let it cool until it thickens and is spreadable without dripping
  5. Spread on the cooled brownie
