Free Pancake Day At IHOP

Head to the nearest IHOP this Tuesday, March 3rd for National Pancake Day! The company is celebrating the 10th annual holiday the only way they know how; by giving away complimentary stacks of their very own buttermilk hot cakes. But, what most of you may not know is that National Pancake Day is more than just a daylong serving of free food. National Pancake Day commemorates IHOP’s largest philanthropic event.ihop-holiday-pancakes

On March 3rd, more than 1,500 IHOP restaurants nationwide will give customers free stacks of pancakes and ask that they make a donation to their local Children’s Miracle Network. All of the money donated will be given to local charities to pay for equipment, surgical procedures, and care for sick and injured children. IHOP recommends that customers make a donation of at least $5, which is the amount they would pay for a full-price serving of 3 pancakes. In past years, IHOP’s National Pancake Day has raised about 16 million to support local charities.

But the giving doesn’t stop there. Customers who participate in National Pancake Day and make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network will also receive a coupon for $5 off their next visit. It’s a win-win for all, not to mention the bonus: a fluffy stack of pancakes with a cherry on top. This year their goal is to raise $3.5 million, so get hungry and head to IHOP on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The locations closest to campus are at 4603 E. Genesee St. or at the brand new location at Destiny U.S.A.
