Fun Twists on Chips and Dip

by Jenna Byers

Looking for a fun and tasty party to have with your friends? Try having a dip party where everyone brings their favorite chips and dip! From buffalo chicken to smores, we have got you covered with some fun dip ideas that’ll satisfy both your savory and sweet tooth.

Guacamole (the classic, and our personal favorite):

All that you need for guacamole is avocados, lime juice, tomatoes (diced), red onion, salt, and pepper. Mash that avocado up and add the other ingredients for a delicious guac that is perfect for your dip party, a tailgate, or even just to snack on with tortilla chips.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Buffalo chicken dip is a bit more complex than guacamole – but not too difficult. First, roast a chicken – or buy a rotisserie chicken at the store – and then shred using a fork. Mix in some hot sauce, cream cheese, salt, pepper, ranch or blue cheese dressing, and shredded cheese of your choice (we like cheddar or mozzarella). This dip is a little more hearty and is guaranteed to leave you feeling full and satisfied.

S’mores Dip

S’mores are a classic dessert that we typically eat in the summer, but who says that this tasty treat is strictly limited to the hotter months? All that you need to do for this one is melt some chocolate and pour it into an oven-safe pan. Add big marshmallows on top and then stick the pan into the oven for a few minutes until the marshmallows are a toasty golden brown. Serve immediately with graham crackers to dip!

With these three dips, you are guaranteed to hit all of your tastebuds. All three together make for a perfect appetizer, dinner, and dessert. Share your dip creations with us on Instagram @bakedmagazine!
