The Ultimate Set It And Forget It Air-Fried Potatoes Recipe For College Students

By Emma Knauf

Potatoes are one of the most beloved foods of all time, and for college students, they can be a quick side dish or a delicious snack. Whether you are looking for the perfect potato recipe or simply looking for a quick and easy college student recipe, we have got you covered! This air-fried potato recipe is extra special, directly from my roommate, Amelia. These potatoes have Baked’s stamp of approval, and as long as you’ve got an air fryer, potatoes, and a few other seasoning staples, you can follow this delicious set-it-and-forget-it recipe after a long day of classes or as a weekend snack with your friends.

Ingredients

  • One bag of small potatoes (usually from Wegmans or Trader Joe’s, as many or as little as you want)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Rosemary

Directions

  1. Take however many potatoes you’d like, depending on the size of your air fryer or appetite, and wash them off. Then, cut the potatoes into halves, then cut the halves into halves. Place all the potatoes in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle the olive oil (not extra virgin olive oil – it is not air-fryer friendly due to its low smoke point) over the potatoes (she says just eyeball it!). Shake them around to make sure all the potatoes are coated.
  3. Put your pepper, salt, and rosemary leaves into the bowl. A few pinches of each ingredient should do.
  4. Take the bowl and shake or mix all the ingredients together. Add in more of certain ingredients as needed.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and put the potatoes in once preheated. Cook for about 25-27 minutes, depending on how crispy you want them (Amelia goes for 27).

Hot Tip From Amelia: Clean up all your bowls and utensils while the potatoes are baking, so you don’t have to do them later!

Once your potatoes are ready, enjoy!
