Best Parents’ Weekend Restaurant Spots In Syracuse

By Molly Lindstrom

With Parents’ Weekend coming up, you may be struggling to find restaurants that meet your parents’ expectations (if your parents haven’t done so already.) With several restaurants in Syracuse operating on a first come, first serve basis, it can also be difficult to find good restaurants that don’t involve the dreaded wait. But don’t worry, Baked has got you covered! Here are a few of our suggestions for the best Syracuse restaurants that take reservations to bring your parents to this weekend.

Eden (American, Farm-to-Table) https://www.edencny.com/

This farm-to-table restaurant is perfect for those interested in an upscale-casual dining experience. Eden’s menu is entirely devoted to wood-fired cuisine, and offers locally and sustainably sourced ingredients that are combined to create well-paired flavors. As you enjoy your meal, your attention will be drawn to the open-fire kitchen that lights up the restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy yet classy with excellent service.

Francesca’s Cucina (Italian) http://www.francescas-cucina.com/

If you are looking for a restaurant with a lively ambiance and an extensive menu, Francesca’s Cucina is the place for you. This Italian restaurant offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes to choose from, like their famous regional specialities of Chicken Riggies and Utica Greens. The desserts are as big and delicious as you would expect from a family-friendly Italian restaurant, ranging from chocolate mousse cake to the classic cannoli. You can also dine on Francesca’s Cucina’s patio (assuming the Syracuse cold weather does not intervene).

317 At Montgomery (American Fusion) https://317atmontgomery.com/

Changing its menu every week, 317 At Montgomery is the restaurant to go to for diverse and unique meal options. The service is extremely friendly, accompanied by an ambiance that emulates the welcoming and homey vibes expected from a small-business restaurant. 317 At Montgomery’s appetizers are especially excellent, with flavor combinations you cannot find elsewhere.

Lemon Grass (Thai, Asian Fusion) https://www.lemongrasscny.com/

Craving Asian food? Lemon Grass is our top suggestion, serving fresh and flavorful Thai Cuisine with great service. It is located in Armory Square, a favorite neighborhood of Syracuse students known for its warm and vibrant atmosphere. Outdoor dining is available, so definitely take advantage of this option before it gets too cold. We highly recommend ordering the spring rolls and saving room for dessert!

Margarita’s Mexican Cantina (Mexican) https://margaritasmexicancantina.com/

If you’re a Syracuse student, you’ve probably already heard of Margarita’s. If not, this restaurant is known for its fun, casual environment and even more fun drinks. Your parents will love the giant margaritas and the authentic Mexican food that tastes as good as it looks. The menu is tremendous, so there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

Phoebe’s Restaurant and Coffee Lounge (American) https://phoebessyracuse.com/

Last but certainly not least, Phoebe’s Restaurant and Coffee Lounge is an American bistro that is good for not only dinner but also brunch. Here, you can enjoy colorful and creative plating from an innovative menu selection. Phoebe’s also offers a cute outdoor patio which is the perfect complement to a Sunday brunch with the family.
